I love the Anthias family, too, Christi. These have become little pigs. I love it when my fish eat this well.

Man, I totally know what you mean! I loved it when my fish and corals ate like pigs. Same with my cats and dogs. When they dive into their food, it makes me feel all good inside.

I hatch baby brine once in a while, usually only when I have a finicky eater. Buying adult live brine is risky, and raising them up from hatching is a major pain in the neck.
am i correct in saying i teaspoon eggs/1lt of water with a 24hour hatch turn around, cutting the bottom off soda bottles bout half way and turning them upside down with a non ionised salt mix at a S/G of 1.018 to maintain proper boyancy and a bubble rate just enough to keep them susspended low in the mix. also keeping them closer or near a light source to keep the temp(hang on a sec, guinny conversion in progress) 78*-80* for proper hatch rate. ?
hey Ampage, congrats grand master, snuck under the radar.......... the 3 musketters now shout equally at the bar!! as it should be!
Crossing the 1000 reply mark makes me a Grand Master Reefer??? My take on that is, it makes us Grand Master BSrs.

In April '06 I began purchasing Limited Edition Corals. This series of posts will feature some of them from time of purchase to date.
This frag is Steve Tyree's Limited Edition (LE) Bali Tricolor. It was one of my first corals from Steve and my first Limited Edition coral. I was shocked when I first saw it. After talking with Steve about the size and price ($65) I accepted the fact that the LE sellers have a corner on the market and dictate conditions. I bought eleven LE corals that first purchase. I must mention, Steve did give me a "Good Customer" discount.
This is how the coral looked in June It had grown and colored up nicely. The tank lighting consisted of a 72" Aquactinic W/3 175 watt 10K and 4 39 watt Actinic bulbs. September 26, '06 I switched to the 72" Solaris LED system, 250 watt 20K programmable.
Here is how the coral looks today six weeks into the Solaris LED lighting system. I'm seeing better coralite growth, color and polyp extension under the Solaris. All of my corals seem to love this LED light. Looking forward to even better results with future improvements.

Hope you're well Dick!
I am well Christi, thank you. Ph has been running a little low lately. I've been looking for the cause, can't find anything unusual. I may need a new probe or recalibration. I'll check that today. Alk is total Alk and yes, meg/L. I'll be posting a whole series of pics over the next few days.
The LEDs are fantastic in my humble opinion. Everything in my reef system has reacted favorably to them. From Acroporas to Zoanthids.
