About the system:
Lights: 4 40W T12 bulbs Phillips 6500K from HD
2 110W URI superactinics
The 40Ws lights are changed every 6 months and the actinics every year 1/2
2 IceCaps 660 ballasts drive the bulbs; according to IceCaps the 40W runs about 80W per bulb.

Filtration: Around 120# of LR and 5” sand bed mixed with play sand (silica) and aragonite, Coral Life Super Skimmer 125, Occasionally I run carbon and just started using phosban in a hang on filer.

Salt: IO since day 1, I’m currently using Red Sea Coral Pro (better cal, and alk) I bought it just because it was the same price as the IO. I might keep using it.
Water changes are done every 3 weeks 20G

Supplements: top off water with kalk 24/7, small adjustments of Cal, Alk and MG when using IO, I have not supplement anything with the red sea salt.

Fish: Sailfin tang, cowfish, watchman goby, starry blenny, tai spot blenny, 3 yellow tail damsels, pseudocromis purple, sandperch, 2 percula clowns, 1 black clown.

Food: once in a while I use kent phytoplankton and zooplankton. Daily a mixture of brine shrimp, mysis, plankton, formula 1 and 2, flakes, pellets, selcom and I just starting doing my own with shrimp, scallops, mussels, cyclopezze and squid.
I don’t target feed any of my corals.

My water chemistry is: PH 7.9 (morning) – 8.4 (by the end of the day), calc 400 – 450, alk 3 – 3.5 mql, mg 1200 – 1400, phosphates 0 (not sure about this one, I can't get a reading). Nitrates around 2.5ppm (salifert)

Dual coil denitrator.

Your tank looks great! Really nice aquascape and locations of corals.

any trouble with the 2 purculas and the black clown? do they fight? do they each have thier own anemone? I have read mixed things about mixing different clowns etc.

I have an occelaris and a gsm right now and they get along.

Just curious.

Thanks, the black black clown seems to be a little more agressive some times, but the 3 of them host the torch coral, the black clown is in charge of feeding it, I have them for a year now, they used to host a goniopora and pretty much killed it, I had the goni for 3 years . Also all 3 were introduced at the same time. When I had them in QT I did have to separate them from each other, the QT is a 20G tank. A few months ago I got them an RBTA but they did not seem interested, go figure, I had to sell the RBTA did not settle in my tank and moved around too much.

Nice Tank! Great mix of stuff. What about that cowfish? I didn't think they were reef safe so I stayed away from them. I had them on the top of my list and was real bummed when i found out I couldn't get one...

the cowfish it's been great doesn't bother anything, I have it for a year, it went in with the 3 clows at the same time, when the cowfish settled I started adding the other fish, it was tiny and I had to protect it from getting stuck on the MJ moded power heads, couple times got stuck on them. Now it's very strong and competes for food, it does good in the high water flow, very active and hungry all the time, follows you around and actually spits water, very dangerous if you have MH. It doesn't bother the clean up crew, some times picks up the hermits for a ride and drops them somewhere else, very fun to watch.
Here is a video of them at feeding time

Your tank looks awesome, I've got 100g long seagrass/lagoon tank, and was thinking about doing a similar light setup, but was a little unsure of how it would look. I gotta do it now and forget about $600.00 or more on a light system.

The fixtures I want to use are the 65 watt outdoor PC fixtures they sell at HD.

Thank you, I would read more about the PCs not familiar witht them, what makes a difference in my setup is the 2 IceCaps 660, there was research done about overriding regular bulbs, also IMO the k is important in this scenario. If you don't have anything yet you might want to invest on the ballast and give it a try. I had many people tell me my clams will be dead in 4 - 6 months and now almost 3 years, the crocea still as bright when I got it, also the big acro in the middle was about 1" and the digitata the same. Most of my corals came from a 55G tank that I took it down to upgrade. The 55G was run by 3 40W bulbs and 1 110W actinic. The tank run for a little over 2 years.

Great video. Explain to me how you are feeding them. Looks like you have your feeding cubes on a line of some sort. I have never seen that before (but thats not saying much I have not seen alot of things)! What is the setup and how is it working out?

Yes, well frozen formula 1 and 2 for some reason don't disolve very well, it allways sinks. So what I do I use a small screw driver and drill a hole throug the middle of them and put fish line throu them nothing gets waisted.

Yes I used it I did remove the original white sponge and replaced with I think an aquaclear sponge, it doesn't clog up too fast. I clean the sponge every day.
