It's a standard 10 Gallon AGA with the 14K 70W HQI Sunpod over it. It's the one on the TV tray in the pictures. I'll sit the clam in a cup full of rubble for 6-8 weeks. I'm also hoping to get a six-line wrasse but all of my normal fish stores (local and online) are out of them right now.

My clam arrived a couple of hours ago. It's acclimating right now and seems pretty healthy so far. As soon at it is in the tank and opens up I'll have pictures. My new light fixture should be here this afternoon.

Here he/she is minutes after being placed in the QT:

Drs Foster & Smith finally got in some six-line wrasses. Mine should be here Friday.

Yeah it's a really interesting fish. I think it's checking out a reflection of itself in the front glass of the tank or something. Swims right up to the glass and looks at the glass with one eye, then it twists around and looks at it with the other eye. It arrived yesterday and I put it right in the tank (After acclimating). There's no other fish in there so there's no risk of infecting any other fish by not doing a proper quarantine. It loves picking at the rock which is full of pods. The Rock that I got from ReeferRocks.com has a lot of caves and tunnels for it to swim through.

Since I plumbed the Aquapod into the 55 gallon sump I haven't had any heat issues, even with the 150 W Sunpod. I guess all that extra water acts as a big radiator.

Having a bit of a diatom bloom problem. Nothing major though. It'll pass soon.

Unfortunately the six-line found the only opening in on the top of the tank and went carpet surfing last night while I was sleeping. Squeeked right through a, maybe 1/2 inch wide opening where my return pipes go over the back wall. I'm going to have to do something to plug that opening before I get another one.

Jimm, that stinks! I hate it when things like this happen.

Transfered everything to the nano finally. As you can see I'm still dealing with a little diatom/cyano outbreak. It'll be gone soon though. One bad thing about the Aquapod is the corners are rounded. A mag float cleaner won't get in there. You have to use a pad and your hand to get them clean. After two days in the nano the clam has already put down a few bysal threads. So that big turbo snail can't knock him over now.

Here's a picture:
