lol this isnt going to cause problems in my tank right? i really enjoy how this astrea has a nice brunette wig on ! ROFL!
been a while since ive looked at your thread, ROFL in regards to the magical snail hair growth formula. But its good to see things are still going well.
I may have missed this, but have you abandoned the sump/fuge idea??? but yeah, things are looking good
(ARRRGH, one four hour trip to Toronto to drill my tank and i can finish plumbing and get the rock for my tank................ This is where a license comes in handy
some day, it will be done.................)
Good job man (urgh, i have to go to bed, first day of second semester tomorow, shouldnt b up this late......)
wow lucky! you start on a friday?!? i just got through with finals and am already half way into the first week of the second semester.
yeah anyway, i dont know if you say my other post, but the sump plan is out of the picture seeing as my mom will not let me drill my tank. so i am trying to maybe do a fuge that a pump pumps water up to it, then it overflows into a bulkhead and back down to the tank. that way its virtually flood proof and the pods dont have to go through a pump to get to the tank. but i would like to get a sump eventually. either by drilling or just switching tanks. but if i go away for college, i probably wont be able to bring the tank, so maybe i just wont get a sump until really later
hahah nah probably that room mate would end up dumping beer in there! lol maybe a nice little nano though! =)
does this work?
the sump is on some sort of shelf above the tank? this way its safer for floods, and i can just drill a sump thats not in use instead of my current tank.
yess, that is the way one would do it, just make sure that there is no way the water can back up into the tank, i'm sure u have taken that into account though.
Some LFS's will drill their tanks for certain prices, i have big als stores here in canada that sell reefready tanks, or will drill holes for $50. Just look around and you will find someone who will do that up for ya
