i was having a joking poke , but the underlying nature of the comment was its only a 4ft, so upsize the pump, lower the number of returns with wider widths & if you need greater flow > throw on an output attachment for the type of flow needed.
as you know, flow , plumbing & pump choices depend on the animals your planning on keeping, if your after sps dominated tank, then blow mr wolf, blow those hungry faces clean off each polp , but if its for more ponies, then slower flow rules the parameters to which affects plumbing configurations, diameters ect ect
