Maybe you have to grow up a little before you like history. I started to get into it when I was in college.

My majors in college were Agriculture Education/Agriculture Economics and believe it or not I took EXTRA courses in just to fit in the history.

Three out of the 4 doors are done. I just need to finish the "hood" door with Gustavo tonight. It's been busy. Sorry I've not been around.
You can see that the smallish doors on the sides will allow me to view the system from the sides. Room was left in the "stand" to fit a larger acrylic tank in the future.

he he...I love a guy with a good pack of tools!
Dave - the stand is looking fantastic! Are you going to stain it or paint it white to match the walls? I like the idea of the side doors as well, with the possibility for a larger tank...way to think in advance!

It's going to be stained and protected with either that clear acrylic or urethane. I want to show off the wood and I HATE painting good wood. Now... depending on how nice it comes out (it's on its way to perfection right now), it may be anywhere from honey oak (if no blemishes) to a darker cherry (if I hack the darned thing)

And hey *jealousy setting in* We DID use his router, joiner etc... but we did use MY table saw and a couple other things... *whispering* like the tape measure

I've decided to "mirror" the inside of the stand. This will help make the smallish 21G tank look larger. Remember, I've kept the stand opening larger, to fit a new tank in the future. This may just be what it takes to make the optical illusion I want.
Check out this persons use of mirrors on the left and right of their tank.
