Great looking nano! My wife just gave the tentative ok for a nano in my son's room. How was the pex tubing to work with. I am considering a total pluming makeover for my 135 and would like some feedback on this product. Great Job again!

OK It has legs. how many? I cant tell. it has 2 little black eyes. a thin tapering body that is wedge shaped, a kind of (Shield) that is almost transparent coming off each side of the body that covers it's legs and a tail that is also transparent (Lobster shaped).

I can see the details through my magnifying glass, I just cant photo them

Thanks.
The pex was very easy to work with. I just used a heat gun pex turns clear when hot and white when cold just bend to shape and hold as it cools I dipped mine in cold water to cool it quicker. I plan on using a pex manifold for my future sump cuse it will have no joints. the down side is the tools for pex car costly if you dont know a plumber

Tubing tip.
If you heat and bend tubing fill the tubing with sand and tape over the ends so when you bend it, it will stay round and not kink.

What kind of fittings did you use with the PEX? Did you glue it or crimp it?

I used PEX in my house but with metal fittings. I don't see plastic fittings holding up to the pressure required for crimping.

I am a Carpenter, my employer is the Owner and developer of over 300 apartments and I’m not sure how many commercial buildings. The plumber we use always uses Pex due to the leak proof fittings and that if it should freeze pex will only swell up and not brake (In New England we need this fail safe).

The pex also has a heat-fused system that is leak proof. The heat gun (I cant remember the name of it) heats and expands the fitting as it cools around the tubing it fuses with it becoming one piece. If you do it wrong you know it right away.

My pex in the tank has no fittings just heated and bent.

I'm wondering if it could be a chiton larva or baby or something. It definitely has the shape...
