    My 72g Bow

    ah, the infamous All-Glass 72 gallon bowfront with oak trim, pine"oak" stand, versa-top, and 48" strip hood. what are your plans?

    btw- I HATE the oak on this tank... I would love to paint the stand, but not sure how to get the fake oak trim off the tank!!

    the trim is just a laminate, underneath is just brown trim. you can even scrape it off, but it tends to scar the plastic to much. paint it like anything else, i use plastic model paint. the stand you have to sand first, the top layer is a polymer glosscoat.

    I just got the EXACT SAME tank with the EXACT SAME stand. 72 gallons. yep. Cant set it up till july 18 cus we dont get back from norway until the 17 of july. We are leaving on the 26th of june.
