ah, the infamous All-Glass 72 gallon bowfront with oak trim, pine"oak" stand, versa-top, and 48" strip hood. what are your plans?

btw- I HATE the oak on this tank... I would love to paint the stand, but not sure how to get the fake oak trim off the tank!!

comes right off with tape or certain nail polish removerers.

but what is underneath that?? looks like it would be a solid brown trim... what if I wanted it black or something? or maybe another color? Got any ideas???

the trim is just a laminate, underneath is just brown trim. you can even scrape it off, but it tends to scar the plastic to much. paint it like anything else, i use plastic model paint. the stand you have to sand first, the top layer is a polymer glosscoat.
