Makes sense to me. Didn't you ever hear "When momma's not happy, no one's happy!"

I am very happy that I have the closet behind my Tank. It makes things allot easier and affords me the room to do more with the tank.

Gwen I have never seen a picture of your other tank. Do you have a picture?

I dont think Ill have to at this point, But I will have to see what happens when the equipment is running, If it gets to hot I can always just keep the door cracked until I figure something out.

OK here are some updated pictures of the Fuge I am building.
This is a 50 gallon acrylic tank.

I used egg crate and build a Cryptic zone that is about 3 inches tall and runs the whole 36 inch length of the tank. This will be covered by a 4-5 inch DSB

I slanted some egg crate to allow water to enter the Cryptic zone, I used 1 inch PVC cut into 3 inch lengths for the supports.
I will be building the stand for the fuge this weekend. I drilled the 1 inch outlet which you can see on the top of this picture for the gravity bleed back into the sump. I also have a 1/2 inch inlet for my 300 gph Ehiem pump that will run the fuge.

From what I have read and heard it should be plenty of room. Its 3 inches high and 36 inches long. Ive never really read on a mini mun height but I could be wrong. Anyone else want to chime in on this?

There really is no "standard" for creating such an environment. In some cases, cryptic types of zones are large empty spaces in the natural reef. In other cases, it is an entire "base area" of a reef at the "drop off" of the foreslope. Finally, in areas of scrolling or plate corals, the areas below the coral structure make up a smallish cryptic zone.

Just as in any refugia...ANY size is good... larger is better. I think that your set up is fine. Personally, I don't like to use sand. I use Live Rock rubble, from the size of golfballs to marbles. It allows for more water flow (though low flow) and eliminates the issues with sand seeping and filling in that zone.

Well another Idea I have is to just use 1 inch of sand and then live rock on top of that if the water is to still in that area will very low flow cause any adverse affects?

OK here is my latest update.
I have been debating an auto top off system for awhile now and I think I have come up with a system that is pretty failsafe and allows me to top off directly from my RO/DI water supply.
What I did was make a platform in my RO water tank that only allows the pump access to about 5-6 gallons. The reservoir itself is on a float switch but I will manually open a gate valve that feeds the float switch every couple days or as needed.
I also ordered a auto top off kit that has 3 float switches. 1 will be a low level in the sump, 1 will be high level shutoff in the sump and the other will be low level in the reservoir so if the pump is not fully submerged it will not run.
OK here are some pictures.......

I know the pump isn't there yet, Had to order the rest of the parts.

Here is a new image of my fuge actually on its stand now with the lighting installed and the new stand I build
