Hello everyone, I seem to be tackling issues with my tank as they come along. I just recently go over a massive Ich infestation within My 180 gallon All-Glass Aggressive Marine Aquarium yet to find that My African Starry Puffer has some white spots estimated at about 1/16 of an inch in size. His appetite has not decreased and he is his normally bully self when it comes to feeding and has graduated to attacking other tank mates (almost left a whole in my little Reticulated Puffers Body). What are these spots? I cannot get him to stay still enough to take a photograph of them but I'm doubting their Ich. I have just installed a 25 watt UV Sterilizer after the Ich infestation. Please recommend what I can do to save him or prevent a larger issue with my Aquarium. Thank you.
Rob, I would love to post some photographs to help in the identification of what parasite is attacking him. However, they are tiny white spots which I haven't been able to catch in a photograph because he moves around so fast. From my guess the I believe he is infected with 1 of 2 parasites called: Chilodonella or Oodinium. Do you think he can recover naturally from this since he is not showing signs of the decreasing health such as loss of apetite? Below is a photograph of him when I first added him into the aquarium.
Rob, I appreciate the help that you have given my so far. Hopefully someone else chimes in before I decide to remove him from the Aquarium altogether since he seems to want to bully the other inhabitants more then I would like and I'm affraid he will cause issues when I decide to move into Corals.
