Hi Marc and

to TR. Like Lynn my tank is established so at this time I don't need any more rock. But we have lots of people setting up new tanks and the question of where to get rock arises on a regular basis. I am glad that Dave introduced us to you and that we now have Marco Rocks to recommend.

I'm curious, where does your dry rock come from? No need to give out any secrets, just curious if it is from mining in Fiji, previously live rock, etc?

It is Fiji, and it was previously live (but not recently), but now collected and shipped dry.

Thanks for the reply! It is interesting because I just came back from Cancun and we walked by a residence that had a back wall entirely made of dried live rock (mostly large maze brain colonies). I believe it is illegal to ship dry rock out of Mexico now, but that land owner is sitting on a small fortune with all that dry rock.

With all the new construction going on on Cancun, they are just piling up the old dead rock in vacant lots and replacing things with concrete and cinder blocks. I was tempted to try to bring some back as it will probably just get buried in dirt or concrete later.

Gee! How do you know me already. LOL I am always looking to upgrade and actually may be adding a 55g tank to the system in a couple of months. I'll check out the site once I know I am getting the tank. You can't beat a psysic business.

It will get dark tonight

Sometimes I amaze even myself

Brian I've heard of that...but hey I bet if they saw some of our beautiful granite and redstone walls here in NewEngland they would think were're sitting on a fortune too (untill they found out how much shipping costs

)

I can attest for Marc's rock, I have a lot in my tank and there is none better.
