More marine conferences.

How fast is the marine aquarium industry growing? Look at the growing number of conferences around the country.

IMAC
MACNA
SWU
MASM
BA-CFM

This AM I received an E-mail from.....

This is a cropped version of their banner because of the size. They have
seven conferences scheduled around the country for the next year. Here's a link to their web site - http://www.sioceano.com/

I'm all for educational seminars but is this too much? It costs about $1000 to attend a conference that's not in your backyard.

Attendance fee
Flight
rental car
hotel
frags
goodies
meals
shipping frags home (if you buy more than you can carry-on) guilty!

I'm not saying it's too much but how do you pick and choose? For the most part they all feature the same speakers with a few new ones now and then.

On the other hand it's a great time for camaraderie with old friends and meeting new ones. Great place to pick-up frags and other things. I'm just going to have to have the wife put in more OT so I can go to all of them. I'm retired you know and she believes (really) that it's her job to, "Keep Richard into the lifestyle he's grown accustomed to". I've told you before she's a GREAT wife!!!

Dick

You are very lucky Dick!!

I go to SWU only because it's in my backyard.

Gwenn, I think it goes beyond luck to Blessed.

I know SWU is in your backyard. Now, that's being lucky!
