Ichtus Maximus is an unknown quantity at this point
Controling Caulerpa

This is not a "how to" thread in the sense that I am going to make recommendations, but a "How do I " because I need to know how to get rid of Caulerpa!
I have a 45 gal softty dominant tank that has been up for just over 2 years. I ended up with an infestation of Caulerpa and I have nothing that will eat it. Due to the small size of my tank, Tangs are out. I am considering a Dwarf Sea Hare. Does anyone have any other suggestions ?

CarmieJo is on a distinguished road
Hello Ichtus Maximus and to TR!

Dwarf angels like C. argi

might eat it. In fact that was all mine would eat at first. They are cautiously reef safe. Mine does not seem to bother my corals but individual fish may. A sea hare might eat it but what are you going to feed it when the caulerpa is gone? The best advice is probably to just keep pulling it out.

One of my pencils is in a tank without macro. I feed him Nori as I do with my turbos. You don't have to have a constant supply of food in your tank if you are willing to feed them prepared greens.
