Open Brain Health and frogspawn placement

Back when I was even more of a newbie than I am now, I got a green open brain (Trachyphyllia) ??

I had this first in my 24g aquapod with pc lights, which then became a 40g breeder, which is now a 75g with 4x54w T5's. The brain shriveled a bit when I switched to the 75g, which I assume was because of the light change. It seems to be doing better now but it seems to pulsate now allot more than I ever notice before. Does this mean that it's healthy? I feed it a few pieces of mysis once a week so it does accept food. I just want to make sure I don't need to get a clamp on Metal Halide lamp for additional light.

Second question is placement of frogspawn. I seem to read different things regarding placement. I have it in the sandbed now and it seems ok, but does it need more light than my
T5's can give it at the bottom of the tank?

I have included a couple of pictures. one of each of the corals and a FTS just to make sure no one see anything else taht I need to adjust

Thanks for any help

Mark

CarmieJo is on a distinguished road
I have not had an open brain but they are an intermediate light coral so I think they would be find under T5's. As far as the frogspawn goes, I have mine "planted" in the sand in my nano under the PC's and it is happy and growing. I don't know how to compare the amount of light from the T5's at the bottom of the 75 vs the PC's at the bottom of a NC24 but you might have a feel for it.

I have found that Euphyllias are really sensitive to flow. Mine like enough flow to keep them gently moving in the current but not so much that they get blown around. Even just a tad too much flow and they respond by closing. I have a torch in my 54 and I moved it to a new location. About 3 weeks later it started staying closed. I moved it back to the old location and it opened right back up. I was really surprised that took that long to react.

I have found that both my frogspawn and torch will take mysis, fish mush and Cyclopeeze. They don't seem to take flake or pelleted food.

if the frogspawn is opening up the lighting is probably ok because iv'e noticed with my frogspawn and my hammer coral also if u put it somewhere it doesn't like they will just refuse to open
