suggestions

Hello and Welcome. I have had my tank running for a while (6 months) do to running out of money. The only thing I need to get corals in my tank is the lighting. I have a 30 gallon upright, can't be more then 2 feet deep. I was wondering about lighting and if anyone has any suggestions. I was looking at MH or T5 Ho lighting. I want to keep mostly softer corals with maybe a clam or brain coral. Mostly wondering if I can get away with T5 Ho. Thanks for any input.

T5 HO will be fine with the brain and softies. you will be SOMEWHAT limited on clams though, there are a few that do not require intense lighting. i think T. Crocea is one of them, but i am not sure so let a clam guru chime in here before you go out and buy one.

Thanks, any suggestions on company or wattage, I can live without the clams if it means me saving a decent amount of money.
