Viper Clamp on Lighting System

Hi there,
Was wondering if anyone has suggestions on the placement of the JBJ Metal Halide Viper light.
I have a 70W over my 12g Nano Cube, lots of adjustment options as to distance between light and water surface.
Currently I have mine set approx. 7" from water to light, slightly set back,as not to flood the room with mind-bending white light.
Thanks!!

Cool! I thought that would be a great light to put over a nano. Do you have any pics?

It sounds like maybe how you have it, but I think swing it out far enough to actually tilt it away from the room so you don't blind yourself while looking at the tank. Just another reason I'm glad I put a full hood on my 90g. But for the nano I bet that works great. Did I ask yet if you had and pics?

What do you think so far? I've been considering one for my 12 too.

Hindsight being 20/20..I saw a Sunpod 70W at my LFS, and that would really be the way to go.A really solid, fan cooled unit.Just a few more $$,but I really miss the lunar lights.

p.s. Pics, the one tank I take the least pics of,sorry.

70W on a 24gal ? I think 150W would be better,IMO.

the stock i plan to keep will never miss the extra 80W, and the tank (and my office) will be cooler.
