Sorry another question,,, about UV filter

I’ve installed my MH (DIY)…. at the moment im not using a UV filter.

Will this affect the corals, im not sure if MH creates UVA or any other dangerous waves.

Would normal glass be ok.

If it's a double ended bulb it will burn your corals. They must have the shield installed. Most single ended bulbs have a uv sheild on them. You being from the UK I am not 100% sure on your equipment.

I have the double end type.... will the burning be due to UVA.

I was always under the impression water would reflect UVA, as with normal glass (not being able to get a sun tan when driving in the car)

Sorry,,,, im just trying to get a better understanding.
