    Under Cabinet Lighting

Seeing as how i've been trying to fine tune my new skimmer, i've been spending a lot of time messing around in my cabinet. At night, and even during the day sometimes its tough to see things like water levels, and foam. So I thought i'd share a quick tip. I went by Wal-Mart today and picked up an LED light strip for $5 and it has velcro already attached to it. Its as simple as peeling and sticking. Its saved me from having to hold my flashlight in my mouth while i'm fiddling with something.

My only problem with these lights is that you have to remember to turn it off or the battery goes dead.

I have a flourescent strip too. Word to the wise, don't trust velcro to hold anything if it's over your sump. My strip light fell into my sump several months ago. the results were not pretty.

Line is just a piece of plastic with some LED's behind a plastic shield. I don't think it would do much damage. Unless the batteries and saltwater were a bad combo...hmm.

I have my handy-dandy LED "miners" light I picked up from Harbor Freight for a couple of bucks. Works great and has an elastic strap to just pop it on your head. The little lady thinks its pretty darn sexy too when I walk around the house with it on my head (OK maybe that's a streeeeeeeeeetch!)
