Today my favorite LFS, Down Under Saltwater Fish and Coral, had their 2nd Anniversary Bash. Here is a shout out to Mike Harris who I met in person at the frag swap.
I was happy with what I got at the frag swap! I got 2 more genotypes of Pocillopora, a pink ricordia, green leather, pineapple leather, green hairy mushrooms, yellow polyps, and some more GSP. I think that there may be some others but I can't think what they are and I am upstairs abd they are downstairs. Right now they are in QT in a Rubbermaid Tote with a strip light across it since my QT tank had Cu in it at one time. I can't wait to get them in my tanks.
Bunch of baggies!
How do you acclimate them?
Here is a bad picture of the rics in their bag.
It was so awesome to finally get to meet you!!!!!! I can't wait till the next frag meeting so we can sit around and talk more. Your love for this hobby is so evident in the way you talk about it. I can trully say that we have a friendship in the making and can't wait to talk to you again.
Have a great week and maybe I'll bump into you at DU..

I was happy with it! The thing I couldn't remember is an orange monti cap.
Paintbug, I wish we could have met too. You may have seen me, I think I was probably the only one there with crutches.
Bobby, I didn't see many rics. I got 2 heads, polyps, or what ever the right word is and one looks like it is going to divide again. Maybe I will have some to trade soon.
Keep me in mind, Carmie! I'm a huge fan of all coralimorphs. Back in the late 80's, when message boards were really rudimentary, my user name was always "Coralimrph" -there were only ten characters allowed for user names.
Will do! We have come a long way in 20 years haven't we? Our 19 year old doesn't remember a time without a computer. Remember the Coleco Adam? That was our first computer.
I was in the College of Agriculture at OSU and we KNEW the ag students were really cool because we had the first PC at OSU. It cost the dept $5000 in 1979 or 80, ran in DOS, programed in BASIC, was less powerful than the toys we buy for our kids and nobody really believed that every family farm would have one.
let me know if you get a split Carmie, i have a nice tri color to trade you. and i can tell you how to ship them for less than half of the price of normal overnight shipping.
