Bubble trap?

Well thanks to everyone for the help in swaping my tank, (55g w/ a wet dry to a 75g w/ a refuge). My only problem now is the micro bubbles getting created in the return chamber of my refuge. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I tried to find some info in the DIY section but found nothing. What has every one who had this problem done to fix it?

Are they coming from your skimmer? I direct the return lines from my skimmer into a 2 L pop bottle with just enough of the top cut off to fit the lines in and this seems to take care of the majority of the bubbles.

any surface skimmer box.. u can make DIY box that capture return water.. put a sponge in it.. doing so will capture bubbles as it is returning to the tank

CarmieJo, iglowce thanks for all the help. When I get something in place I'll let you know how it works. I think I'm going to use the sponge approach.

i dont know what your tank/sump looks like, so im speaking outside the box here.
Even though a sponge works, if placed wrongly it can serously slow flow through the area, just something to keep in mind thats all.
maybe even consider an xtra moveable baffel, all you have to do is cut the goves out for the tank sides in a piece of acrylic & you can move/slide it to where it works
