Puffer Question.

Pink Spot Toby Puffer. I was wondering what crustaceans do these guys eat I don't plan on keeping to many corals so that would not be to much of an issue. But I would like to have one of these interesting puffers in my tank I just don't want to have to keep buying hermit crabs and peppermint shrimp if it will constantly be eating them. Also does it help to keep the tank well fed. I know allot of questions crammed into one post sorry.

Amphibious is on a distinguished road
Puffers are interesting critters to keep. A well fed tank will help but, your fears are well founded. Puffers will eat anything they find desirable just when you think you have them "trained" to eat what you want them to eat. Be prepared to lose hermits, shrimp and even other fish, if Mr Puffer decides to dine on them. They are after all a wild animal designed to eat pretty much what it wants.
