my clowns now dont want to eat

had clowns for 2 weeks purchased from petco and bought what they fed them except for blood worms since i heard you really should only feed foods they find in nature. they false percula and started to feed them frozen bring shrimp and small sinking pellets. a week ago made own food using reef cast diy food vid. used frozen mysis, cyclopsis, pretty much lots of other mixed sea food from asian store. when i fed it they loved it and as days went on, noticed they started to get picky. and now seems like everything they put in there mouth they just spit it out. dont notice them keep anything to swallow. i have tried feeding them individual piece to find out exactly which one they are looking for with no success. not even with pellets and flakes.

also started to notice one of them would go in back same spot and start to shake and rub his body as if he had ich. rob mentioned this would happen if they are i guess going to be paired but they are still less than an inch long.. are they old enough to breed already. oh and that very same fish just started to attack my hand dunno if he thinks its food or ya..

one other thing. 2 days ago just added flame hawk fish still young and no i did not quarantine him. but got him from a reef tank that is clean as can be.. so i almost doubt its because that flamehawk brought it some kinda sickness, or parasite.

Hmmm, how finely did you chop the fish mush? Mine likes stuff that pretty little. Are you thawing it first? Did you add garlic to it? If not I would thaw it and soak it in garlic while it is thawing. Then I would mix it in a cup with tank water so the pieces are really separated and use a baster to squirt little bits at a time into your tank. Or, soak flakes (or pellets if they are small) in garlic.

With the fish attacking your hand the shaking could be pairing behavior.

Always QT no matter what. Tanks may be asymptomatic for ich or other diseases. Never put any water from another tank into your own.
