what about this wrasse combination

i know folks are tired of these questions but i want to avoid compatibility issues early and the internet often has conflicting info on this. i want to get a Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura ruby head fairy wrasse and a Halichoeres melanurus melanurus wrasse. thoughts?

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to that but,I've read that some wrasses should not be mixed.I have also read that 2 males should not be put in together. Some are more aggresive than others.I have a fairy wrass and have read how to tell male from female but also read that wrass cant be sexed, two different books. So who knows? It could be some species have distinguishing carecatures in male and female. When it comes down to aggression I believe that the fairy and the velvet, lunar and some six line are more docile.Your 5 line wrass are more aggresive. The lunar wrass will change sex when introduced with another lunar, then when and if breeding takes place the female will kill the male before she lays her eggs.2 to 3 weeks time to lay eggs.Tis info is not documented so take it with a grain of salt.I hpoe this was some help to you.My sorce is from other reefers,And some from books.

Could work with the size tank that you are housing. Definitely is a possibility, you could try it out. I haven't had these exact two housed together, but have had other two together and had success. If you do go forward with this, let us know how it goes.
