what does your tank dine on?

I’m trying to come up with a census of what type of food everyone uses. I would like to know what brand, type (live, frozen, freeze dried, cubed, flat pack, etc..), also any additives (garlic, etc..) you use and how often you feed each. Not only for fish also coral.

I use:
Everyday at noon everyone gets Formula 1 flake (brands change as I run out)

At night
Monday: Frozen Brine flat pack (SFbay), (Hikari) Rotifers Frozen cube
Tuesday: Frozen Brine flat pack (SFbay), (SFbay) Krill Flat Pack, live baby brine
Wednesday: 2 lil fishies Marine Snow, live Phyto, Deep Frozen CYCLOP-EEZE, Live Adult Brine
Thursday: Frozen Brine flat pack (SFbay), (Hikari) Rotifers Frozen cube
Friday: Frozen Brine flat pack (SFbay), (SFbay) Krill Flat Pack, live baby brine
Saturday: 2 lil fishies Marine Snow, live Phyto, Deep Frozen CYCLOP-EEZE, Live Adult Brine
Sunday: Live adult brine

I mix everything together and feed ½ if they usually knock it out before it has a chance to make it around the tank. Then I will feed the other ½ just to make sure none is wasted. On wed and sat my skimmer is off for about 2 hrs after feeding.

I’m also open for suggestions.

No schedule here.

I make fish goo that last me couple months.

Raw Shrimp
Scallops
Oysters
Clams
squid
dried nori sheets
cyclopseeze
Oyster eggs
golden pearls (100 and 50 microns)
Flake food
frozen Krill
Garlic
Selcon

Mix everything in the blender and when it is ready to go to the ziploc bag I get a pack of PE mysis shrimp, mix again and strait to the freezer.

Is kinda funny go to the sea food section of the supermarket and ask for couple of every thing, they always ask me what I'm going to do with that.

I am another less structured feeder. I vary Formula 1 flakes, Red Sea MarineGro granulated, frozen Cyclopeeze, frozen mysis, fish mush, and DT's Phytoplankton, feeding 2 or 3 of these daily. I add Garlic Guard and Zoe Marine to each feeding.

It’s sound all go but really I have a heavy hand. I divide all the food up hen I but it and put them in Dixie brand cups. So that way I cant overfeed it took me a couple of emergency water changes to figure it out but it’s not that I’m retentive just I learn from my mistakes.

Could you guys also tell us what specimens you're feeding different foods to? Thanks!

I have a clown trigger I feed frozen trigger formula, frozen forumla 2, and multi-packs to suppliment grocery store shrimp, squid and assorted seafood.

My reef has very few fish so I feed the flame hawk a little brine shrimp or small bits leftover from the trigger's thawings. The saifin blenny and six line wrasse grab bits when they aren't (heopefully) eating my algae and flatworms, respectively.

You should tell them exactly what you are doing. "Oh i just toss it all in a blender and make a shake." Take a picture of their expression if you say that

A followup question for those who blend: how much of a mush do you make this stuff? Do you leave some chunks, or is it like a Wendy's Frostie?

I should, I will do that next time

I mix 2 batches, first one is a really fine mush (coral food) and the second I would say median chunks (fish food), also like I mention, after make the two batches and mix then together a get a pack of PE Mysis and let defrost on top of the mush then mix the PE Mysis with a spoon then ziploc.

Ha ha! I don't think they've got a formula that accurate yet!

I'm going to tell the fish market that I am making a shake next time too! I leave my mush with chunks and I seem to have a pretty good mix of coral food and fish food. I think Gustavo's method is probably more accurate, I'm just a little lazy.
