found 2 bristle worms ... well at least i think it is.. looked like the one i saw in the marine books. took them out and put the pink leather back to the tank.. was gentle the entire time... hope that helped wt the health of my corals...
also, the temp is dropping... which is good because i can delay the need of a chiller for couple more months.. for now, the heater can do the job (when necessary)... current temp: 79.3 (compared to 83-84 during the summer)

Bristleworms are usually detritus eaters and as Gwen said are almost always beneficial. They sometimes get blamed for eating tank inhabitants but what they are doing is eating something that already died. They also help keep your sandbed stirred.
I dont know if this should be brought up on this thread and sorry to attempted hi-jacking, but do bristleworms eat the ( how do i put this nicely) #2 that fish leave behind?
lmao.. yes, bristle worms will eat the waste products of many tank inhabitants as well as other decomposing food or tissues
because of this they are often found feeding on dead or dying parts of corals or clams, and are then "assumed" to be hurting or eating the specimen, when in fact they are simply eating the dead part of the tissue (to elaborate on what carmie said)
