I found this on Drs F & S and thought you'd like to see it. It's the only picture I've ever seen of Zebrasoma gemmatum, the Gem Tang. At $3000 I think I'll pass. The picture is copyrighted so didn't want to post it here.
Reaching my 70th BD, I realize that I cannot help but grow old. However, I refuse to grow up!!! My wife would tell you, "He may be 70 but, He's going on 17". Life is wonderful with a woman like that.
Wow. $1000 per inch. Must be nice to have money to burn like that.

Heh... somehow I doubt the 14 day guarantee applies. And if it does, they will be sending someone to your house to test your water and evaluate your setup

It will be interesting to see how long it's up for sale before someone buys it (and someone WILL buy it!) The most I ever spent on a fish was $225 for a Chaetodon tinkeri (Tinker's Butterfly). It died in quarantine 2 weeks later. Ouch! I swore I would never pay that kind of money for a fish again.
Boy, I hear ya on that one. Tinker's are beautiful, though. When a fish gets upwards of $100 I get wary. I worked hard for my money (retired now, spending wife's money. Sorry Honey, couldn't resist that one.)(Every now and then she reads my posts. )
You can follow that fish by checking back on that link. Problem is, unless you live near Rhindlander, WI, you won't know if it sold or died.

i spend a bit on my fish, my mangroves alone cost a bomb!
but even though its rare, im not really into the colours on that fish! kinda reminds me of juvi comet groper or simular! but that is excessive, if u have the absolute confidence & extra cash i guess its vialble for the clear cut commited folk that love rareity!
when the lambo is for a service what better way to celebrate that to buy up talking points for the next party! i know i do
If I were independently wealthy and I had a huge, beautiful, healthy system, and I was as obsessed with the hobby as I am now...I would maybe go for it. Why not?
Good God, $3000 for a fish. Who can afford that??? It is beautiful but who'd take the chance? Someone probably will buy it, matter of fact, where's Walrus? These would look great in a tank next to the Dragon tank.... rofl
