Some say that uv a,b,c are harmful B and C more so than A. Thats why the
MH bulbs have an outer glass globe to prevent the UV spectrum from hitting the animals not to mention humans. If you are using a uv light be careful to have a shield on it and don't look at the bulb with out some type of shield on it. The hgi bulbs have a glass shield for the same reason as the se bulbs, to cut down on the uv.
