ASM Skimmers?

Anyone have any experience with ASM skimmers? A local reefer is offering me his modded G4X for $150. Skimmer, mesh-modded Sedra 9000, modded for recirc and overflow feed. I'm really unhappy with my current skimmer, and I'm hoping this one will fit in my cabinet. Anyone have any oppinions/advice/insight?

grab it ...Thats a steal

I have G-4s running on a few of my customers tanks.

They are not the highest quality built out there, but performance is very good.
All and all a great value (especially for $150)

Ugh, only 26" under the tank. Skimmer is 30".

plumb it outside the stand or take it and resell it.

not sure your tank size but for about the same money and design the octopus skimmers are also a good choice

It's a 120 with 26" of space underneath, although 24" is about the max I can fit.

I agree!!!!!! I have one and I love it!!! Even if you can't use it on this system, I would buy it for a system in the future. A great overall skimmer!!!!
