Magnetic frag-rack

Hey all!

I've been looking at this website: mag-racks

I wanted to make one my self. Does any one have a source for sealed neodymium magnets??

Phurst,
Do you trust those? I'm scared the epoxy is not enough to isolate them from the water.

Yes, absolutely. I have a number of frag-mags from Aqua-Mags in my tank and they use the same epoxy coated magnets.

Phurst do you think
Gaussboys Super Magnets :: Discs :: 18mm x 3mm N42 Epoxy Coated Disc Magnet
could hold frags and small mounts to a glass tank? How large are the ones in your Aqua-mags?

I'm not sure about the thickness of the magnets, but the diameter is just about the same. It has 20 pounds of pull, but I'm sure you know, the pull force drops exponentially the further away the magnets are from one another. It'd be worth the $4 to find out

AquaKit has some teflon coated magnets... A Google search for "Aquakit MagMount" should bring you to thier site. I think its the first or second link returned by google.

Hello ijo and to TR!

Thanks for jumping in with advice! We are pretty relaxed here and it is fine if you post links as long as they are pertinent to the thread.
