Tank Stand Construction

I am curious as to what all you construction engineers on this site think about my tank stand plan. I realize people say you only need 2x4s, but being the unhandyman that I am, I want to make sure this badboy is supported like nobody's business. So here is my crude (not to scale) Microsoft paint drawing of my proposed tank stand frame.

My questions revolve around whether or not I need the 2x4s at the bottom or if I can just screw the support beams to the plywood at the bottom.

poppin_fresh is on a distinguished road
You dont need the 2x4s on the bottom, or even the plywood for that matter. You also dont need a total of 9 of the 4 x 4s. If you built a 2x 6 top frame and tied it in with the 4 corner 4x4 it would still be 100X stronger than it needs to be.
