Any ideas on how to plumb together these tanks

I have a 29 gallon biocube and a 26 gallon flat back hex, i was wondering wether it is a good idea to plumb them together and also if it is how would you do it... here are some pictures...

A larger volume of water is inherently more stable so i think it is a good idea. But, I am not at all sure how to go about plumbing them.

that tank is WAY to small for a hippo tang, sure it is a small fish now, but it HAS TO HAVE more room than that. tangs cover hundreds of miles every day just hunting for food in the wild. this is going to cause stress which in turn is going to cause you all kinds of problems.

no idea on connecting them, but you could always just add a sump and drain them both into it and run 2 smaller return lines.

joining them although possible with a bit of thought, will make one tanks potential problems, both tanks problems. Personally i wouldn't bother.

Linking sumps with extra static redundancy piping or float/ pressure switch driven power boards would be my only possible suggestion if you were to go ahead with it, leaving the original returns intact. The pics just give an overall shape idea from what i saw, with a pic of an overflow i think. do they have sumps?
