Hang "In" back overflow box

Has anyone ever done one of these, or seen one used? The box is glued to the back wall of an acrylic tank, and a slot is cut through the back wall to join them. Check out this link:

I was wondering what the drawbacks were to this, if any. Seems like the only drawback is that the height can't be adjusted.

This is a nice sumple design. I did this on an acrylic tank I made. You're right, the hight can't be adjusted very easily, but once you find a good spot for your stand pipe it doesnt really need to be adjusted. I would say make the stand pipe about 2-3" below the water level of the tank and you will get great surface skimming.
