I just take a plyers and break off the small pieces connecting the desired size from the rest of the egg crate. Takes some time and causes alot of little pieces all over the place but it brakes apart easily.

yeah, screw driver method is very quick..

just setup a pice, pick your break point and pop with with the screwdriver, (swing down like you are using a knife) it will pop apart, the harder you swing the more you will break at once, a couple good swings and you will go all the way threw it

i used to borrow a chainsaw from a strange dude in texas to do my egg create cutting. then one day i was chilling preping the BBQ whilst blubber and Amp were sucking down a few sauce bottles when all of a sudden that dude came flying into backyard cutting up my fence and pool chairs!
i was like right! you #$%$#^ lets rock, after using the wooden legs on my chair to fend off the mental patent for what seemed like 10min, it finally reached the next level when i lost my cool. this wacko just ripped my hawiian shirt! after that i had to invite a few more TR people to the BBQ, cause we had more meat that we new what to do with.....muhahahaha!

Whilst all that was happening to V, blubber and Amp continued sucking down coolies and cutting V's eggcrate with a hacksaw. We really worked up an appetite for that BBQ. Hmmm, it was good, flavorable, too. "The secret's in the sauce."

how about a vid cast...
you can demonstrate with pliers, screwdriver, and hacksaw and show the results of each.
I was thinking I would try a good wire cutter. It might make a nice clean cut.

actually need nose pliers was perfect cut right through with no struggle, and allows you to be somewhat accurate with your cut.

I just cut some with wire cutters and ended up with a very nice, clean and accurate fit.

It was my first time cutting egg crate also
