Rob decided to invade Boston. He'll be here this week and I'm going to go out with him tomorrow night. Probably for dinner... any suggestions? Anyone want me to play a joke or something on him? He he he.. c'mon.. I have him where I want him.
First off go get a very cheap engagement ring, then during dinner have the waiter place it in a wine glass or something and then when rob realizes whats in the bottom , look at him and then tell him "I wish there was another way to tell you this"
During dinner start talking to yourself. stuff like "i knew he wouldn't like this place, why did you want to come here" and then with a different tone of voice say " because i thought he would like it and i like the bread sticks"
Well... I had a great night. Gustavo and I took out Rob and the missus to Legal Seafoods Rob had NEVER had a clam before...well... I fixed that! *maniacal laughter*
We had raw-bar littlenecks (quahogs..or as Rob called them "cleaner clams") for appetizers. They were amazed how the clam still moved when you put lemon juice or hot sauce on them *giggle*. But the trooper ate at least 4 of them (insert applause here).
He had some of Legal Seafood's famous clam chowdahhh. This is the REAL stuff.. with a cream base...not that nasty stuff they make in New York with tomatoes. Rob found it as good as advertised...but probably not worth the $50.00 a gallon that they sell it for through mail order
He had some of my fried clams too I don't think he was a fan of that dish. But I think I fixed that lack of clammage thing.
He did enjoy his meal and watched Gustavo and I polish off at least 6 beers a piece
Rob, it was fun. It was a pleasure. I hope you had a good time too. Oh... and folks... as I told Rob last night... he ain't half as ugly in person as he is on video..... and to that...he answered... "neither are you and Gustavo" ROTFL.
Oh...and Wes... although I told Rob about the ring joke etc.. I had zero time to plan anything.. it was a crazy day and night. He did get a chuckle...and you heard it from me first.. watch out... he'c comin aftah ya!
lmao, robaploza....lmao..
yes, thanks Dave and Gustavo, it was a great time...
those little clams were actually good, once you get that water stuff outta there.

The pictures I have are in my cell phone. I have an LG USB kit and will download them. However, they will be small and probably dark. BUT..in any case, it is proof that you polished off many different types of clams
Hmmm....i looked at clams and oysters one time, it looked like someone blew their nose in a shell.

Dave, you and Gustavo might like what we have going on here in Denver every October: The Great American Beer Festival. 1,500 different beers. I think Dogfish Head should be the official beer of TR
