Finding Nemo

Hey guys,
So tonight a few friends and I ended up watching finding Nemo, and I couldent help thinking that I felt like the dentist in the movie. Keeping fish against their will in a box and stealing them away from their homes. To the point they were so unhappy that they tried to escape. Big bummer, and kind of a downer. Just made me sad, was wondering if anyone else ever felt like this?

yeah, thats why ive harped on so much about not building such great big reef walls & give your fish some proper swimming space. i also try not to watch pixar whilst drinking with friends, & dont feel to bad, the dentist was an aussie that didn't wash his hands after visiting the john, chanting crazy aussie speak before sticking his hands back in someones mouth, hehe yuk! so trust me, i think you couldn't be futher from that dentist you piss head!!

It's a cartoon, my friend. I swear your fish are not plotting to leave. You give them a proper tank and they will be just as happy as they were in the ocean.

I used to get to worrying like that about my fishies... but that was back in HIGH school and such, when, for some reason, I was UBER-paraniod all the time

Now, my fishies talk to me daily, with their eyes, movements etc. and they are pretty much nodding in agreement. They like this 'extended life cycle' in my tank, as opposed to the two or three years, they MAY make it in the wild.

Oh....and they too are afraid of baracudas... yep... they told me and asked me not to put Finding Nemo on the 42" high def anymore

Maybe We're helping the ocean, by propagating endangered corals and such.

LOL... naw, it's Au Natural. Every now and then the ole pupil blows as a result of a car accident and a neck injury. The first time I thought I was having a stroke. Freaks people out!

Yea i have, but thankfully i havent come home to an empty tank with no evidence of where my fish were but a trail of water leading to the toilet...yet.

I think that if we as hobbyists give these types of animals the best care they can possibly get, then it isnt cruel to keep them for ourselves. Thats why we should all get CB fish. Not only do they prevent harvesting from the ocean, but they also dont give our existing fish any ideas about escaping

hahah yeah sorry renee but your eyes kinda scared me, like not really the different size pupils, but more just having the eyes there looking at me lol

yeah watching finding nemo shows me how the dentists tank was so unnatural with no live rock and no skimmer! ...and youre not supposed to tank out your fish for cleaning either.

and im not worried...theres no windows for them to jump out to...unless they can jump like 5 feet horizontally and 2 feet up.
