Coral Glue?

What types of coral glue does anyone reccommend? I have been using a playdough like epoxy that is green in the outside and white on the inside. I am not really all that happy with it. It is really messy and does not seem to hold coral to the rocks all that well. I was just wondering if there is something better out there or should I just stop complaining and figure out how to use this stuff?

Also I bought a re montipora capricornus from a local reefer and I got two frags and one of them kept falling off the rock and after I kept trying to get it to stick I think i got some of the epoxy on the top of the coral and when I woke up the next day the whole piece was bleached and dead

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i use loc tite superglue gel, but any cyanoacrylate based glue will do just fine.

Yep, superglue is great stuff. I do like the epoxy in some situations though, as it can provide a "ramp" down to the rock for encrusting corals and SPS. in those cases, I'll stick a blob of epoxy to the rock and push the frag in. once the epoxy is hard, I pull it out and superglue the epoxy to the rock so it stays put.

You can get super glue in small bottles or tubes at any hardware even grocery stores. the problem I've had with them is drying out before I got them used up.

I found a brand, BSi, that works better and has a sure seal top that prevents drying out. Hence, no waste. I've been using it for two months with great results. Here is a link to my web site - BSi Super Glue Gel
