i was wondering if anybody may no were i could get a big nemo clown i seen a 3 1/2 inch one at a local lfs it was huge they said somebody gave it up cause it got to big for there tank thay wont sell it. i didnt even think they could get that big i have a lion and i cant put a small one in there thats why im asking i willing to give top dollar for one if anybody has one or knows of anybody that would sell theres
Like oil and water, sometimes things just are not made to be mixed. Eventually, your Lionfish will grow big enough to eat Nemo and Nemo will be toast. I don't know anyone that would sell you an Ocellaris or Percula clown knowing you have a Lionfish.
I agree with V, get yourself an already big clown of the Tomato variety.

You'd even need a biggun if you are looking at tomato clowns. Remember, ANYTHING that can, or ventually can fit in the mouth of the Lionfish is game for a future dinner. I've seen others keep large puffers with lions, even eels, but smallish, damsel kind of fish.. dunno about that.
yea i understand, the lions still small but eventually i would have to take the clown out thats if its not to late so ill just stick with big guys or a tomato thanks for the input
Taking the size & territory into account you'll find a tomato will be super aggressive, which as the lion fish grows, chances are the tolerance is already there & it remembers the ass wooping it recieved on more than one occasion from drifting to close to home. Problem is that may work in reverse, when the lion comes of age & gets one back for that large ass wooping it still remembers..lol
our lfs in new york here...if anyone is familiar with Orange county choppers...yea...where they are....has 4 huge clowns...theyre occelaris clowns i belive..but theyre a good 3-3.5 in...thyere like 25$ each...
