Hi Iglowce,

to TR!

Some clowns will host some corals but it is not a sure thing. Even when a clown has an anemone that is the type it would host in nature there is no guarantee it will host in your tank.

Welcome to TR,

If you are looking for the name of a black and white clown there are black and white Percula Clownfish, and black and white Ocellaris. i think there might be a saddleback but not sure on that..

ok, but besides that...

when it comes to clowns hosting in coral, o anemones, it can be hit or miss.. fortunately, its more hit than miss.

its hard to say what will host in what, but when working with coral you have to be careful because clowns are not very gently with there homes..

frogspawn and hammer coral are common hosts, also many types of leathers, like the toadstool leather will host a clown.

as far as the black and white clown, as mentioned there are a few clowns that are black and white so i can't get too specific on that one

My false percula clown hosts an open brain. I even have a large hammer coral. I am grlad he stays out of the hammer, like Rob said they are brutal to their hosts, and with the hammers skeleton it would for sure rip. I do have to say I was expecting it to go for the hammer colony when i got the fella but sure am glad it went to the brain. He even removes the waste from the brain. That's a cool hu?
