that report has been around for 15 years and there has been a lot of doubt about its reliablility. the test results have been disproved by many salt manufacturers, including manufacturers not on the list. it is also biased, the top rated salts are all products of aquacraft. ask someone in San Francisco to verify the address of the lab.

i have been useing regular IO and IO RC for a while now..
it has always done me well.

its common for an increase in skimmate after a water change, but i would say it would fall in a "going crazy" situation.

well i didnt switch to any of their salts either.but what I did find In using IO is the ph level amung other levels were never consistant per package with exact measuring and testing .I will say my corals perked right up after switching to seachem reef salt btw which is a new salt mix.so although I cant argue the fact that testing may have shown some favortizm towards the manufacturing company as the better salt mixures.but i also cannot i argue the fact that switching salts has made a def improvement in my corals.

unleased, i agree with you bout IO. gave that up and never went back. i have not tried the seachem reef salt yet, i am at this point still happy with my Reef Crystal. i believe that differednt tanks and different procedures and different addition of supplements by different hobbyist do make a wide variety of conditions. i am an absolute believer that what may work for someone else may no work for you, and if you do find something that works...stay with it until it ceases to work for you. all that said, i use Oceanic for my fish only. why Reef Crystal didn't work out for my fish only, i still wonder....

I personally have been using the Istant Ocean Reef Crystals with my setup and have had nothing but success. What type of skimmer are you using?

I have seachem reef salt in my nano and so far everyone seems happy. I also got a few boxes of seachem salt from SWU so I'll be using it for awhile.
