hey just noticed my clown fish sucking on the sweepers of my hammer coral.
bit of an odd thing really...
Any answer is much appreciated!

That’s actually quite common. It’s believed they do that to ingest the slim coat of the anemone or coral to build up immunity to the sting. It may even be therapeutic to the anemone or coral.

would this behavior be an indication of it hosting the hammer coral, it was previously (and sort of still is) hosting some green star polyps?

I remember when I first got my clown fish it would swim into the jet stream of the power head and shoot its self across the tank. I thought this was really odd, until I did a search on google and found a ton of you tube videos of other clowns doing this...lol I guess thats why they call them clowns...lol

My baby clowns ride the current from the power head alot and also sleep on their side, sometimes upside down even ! SCARED ME WHEN I FIRST SEEN THEM SLEEPING...lol
