Colt coral

I have a rather large colt coral that grew from a frag over a period of two years. One of the limbs seems to be pulling in and shriveling up? I dont know if I should cut it off or if it is maybe seperating from the mother coral? The rest of the coral looks fantastic and as healthy as could be. I am wondering if the limb on the coral was just getting to heavy for the coral to support.

I am also wondering if one of the aptasia stung the limb on the colt coral and that is why its funky.
