yeppers...definitely a Gammarid amphipod, AKA "scud". unlike copepods and Munnid isopods, Gammarids are predatory, and typically prey on smaller 'pods, but will also eat uneaten food, etc. you can even teach them silly trix (i can't find where Renee put the pic on p-bucket, but click on the link):
