great question, and heres a brief answer
contribution money goes to one o all of the following

1.) The first webserver that runs the talkingreef.com website
2.) The second webserver/podcast server stores the actually downloadable episodes, since we are sending out almost a half a terabyte every month bandwidth costs are a bit high. ;)
3.) To help recoup some of the costs that went into the website since vBulletin(forums) and a lot of the add-ons like the photo gallery and chat rooms are not free.
4.) To phone charges in the form of SkypeOut services. Which is what i use to record all the interviews that i do.
5.) to fund various projects that i am trying to work on.
6.) hopefully in the future when we get the contests going more it will be funding various prizes and

those are some of the items, there are a few other smaller investments like my current mic, recording and editing software, etc..

i guess what people are really interested in is "does it go into my pocket" and the answer is no, at this point every penny is going back into run and support the show/site/community

Yeah!! And I'm sure that there are many more pennies needed! :-)
