This morning i woke to the pleasant surprise of finding a box on my porch from the nice people at reefcleaners.org  I wasn't sure what to do as far as whether you acclimate macro algae or not but i figured since i got a bunch of snails too i would anyways
I got a ball of cheato, which i am excited for, i am hoping it will help with the nitrate levels of my tank being too high and also help prevent getting nuisance algae regrowing so much. I ordered a bit of ulva algae as well because i read that it is a tasty treat for herbivores and it likes to grow in cheato...hopefully it grows well since all this will be in the display tank where my flame angel can eat whenever. I also got some red stringy peice for a penny! not sure what it is but i planted it in front of a rock and it looks like a little red tree now :) AND I got some weird stringy plant thing I have no idea why...must be cuz they liked me :agree:
The snails i got were 5 nassarious vibex (prolly should have gotten more, didn't realize how small they are) they are funny, they ninja flipped over and dug into the sand right away. I got 5 cerith snails (one of which was viciously attacked and half eaten by a blue legged hermit when i got home from work...) and I ordered 10 dwarf ceriths and got over 20 :showoff: Was a good buy and totally recommend reefcleaners to anyone, especially since it isn't 2+ bucks per snail!!
I was wondering if there are any recommendations for the macro algaes?? should i just let the cheato wonder around or secure it (right now there is a small rock leaning on it to keep is in place)?
