Hi, I recently bought a red chili cactus/strawberry/finger leather. etc. It wasnt in great shape and obviously wasnt being cared for, as it was hanging over a bar and had collected much debris. I have had it for a few days and have put it under high flow, both because it is supposed to like this, and because I am trying to remove some debris. (I do tend to buy the underdogs in hopes of rehabilitating! Today I came home and saw what was, undoubtedly a worm hanging out from ubder one of the 'fingers'. My immediate reaction was to 'suck it out' and inspect it. I have determined that it is a medusa, and the closest pic I can find is here. This one is brown in color with orange stripes. Friend or foe? If its friend, I can totally see why it was on this coral (full of yuck!!) Please let me know what you think. I have sucked him out twice being sure and then unsure!!

Dick, that was good! Laura, good to see you! Put him back in the tank. The worm, not Dick! Here is an article on medusa worms http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/nov2002/invert.htm.
