Other than appearance,is to much coraline algae a problem

Depends on what it's on. It can reduce the performance of powerheads, skimmers and heaters, and there's some thought that it can reduce denitrification by reducing the permeability of live rock, but generally no, it's not a problem.

At first its like wow that adds a nice color to my rock, then all of a sudden its like whoooaaa enough already. Lol...i'm been having hair algae/ coraline problems in my nano. I removed all the corals and put them in my other tank, and the lights have been off for a couple days now. Tomorrow I do a big water change, scrub the rocks and the fish move back from Alaska.

I try and keep it limited to the back of the tank
