I found these in my sump shortly after the aiptaisa.. Not sure if they are mushrooms of some kind or what.. would like to know if anyone can ID

Also figured this was as good a place as any to post an ID for this... The circled part (obviously) is what needs to be ID. The specs in it are from sand kicked up, if I had seen it anywhere else I would think it is mold.. but I am thinking maybe sponge? It started off small, like the size of a dime and now is about 2 inches across. Any help would be appreciated :)

First is a mushroom and the second looks as though it has syphon holes so I'm gonna say tunicate. If those aren't siphon holes then it's a sponge.

Agreed with the ID's, the 2nd may be a sponge if the mouth looking thing on the tunicate really isn't a mouth. BTW both are good :)

First might not be a mushroom, juvenile Blastomussa merleti look very much like that just after they take hold of a rock but before they start building their "tubes". If you're impatient (and who isn't in this hobby, heh!) shine a few different shades of blue light (moonlight LED or Actinics) on them and see what pigment patterns show up. Blastos usually have quite complex patterns compared to the average discosoma/rhodactis/etc... variety of mushroom.
