I have two RO/DI units from www.airwaterice.com (http://www.airwaterice.com) and have been very pleased. One is the Dual Home/Reef unit with a small storage tank and the other is the Typhoon III. I've been very pleased with both and have experienced no problems.

I've noticed the prices have gone up since I purchased these units, so I'm not sure they're a good deal "price-wise". But as for quality and function - they're great!

In todays market place most if not all RO/DI units are made from the same components bought and put together by various vendors. So, for RO/DI you really can shop price.

I bought my second unit off Ebay at this link - Aqua Safe (http://cgi.ebay.com/AQUA-SAFE-AQUARIUM-PLUS-REVERSE-OSMOSIS-WATER-FILTER_W0QQitemZ4452112725QQcategoryZ20684QQtcZpho toQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). I think other forum members have bought this unit, too. Maybe they will chime in.

The sale went smooth, the unit works great. You may be able to find one cheaper. My point is this, don't equate higher prices with quality when it comes to RO/DI units. Watch out for your pocket book not there's.

Dick, i agree.
i have the same unit, and have been using it for over a year with great success..

the only controversy i have seen si teh depabate of the 75 gpd and the 100 gpd RO membranes. in that the 75 gpd membranes rejects more leaving less for the DI to do. but these units are usually much more expensive.

the reality is in the 100 gpd units, the DI picks up whats missed by the RO.
and as mentioned, i have great success with my 100 gpd unit

Here's a link to page 3 of a thread about RO, Distilled, and City water. I babble about the RO unit I picked up (same as Rob's and Dick's).

I have some links to pics of mine, pics are in the photo gallery.

I like mine.

Pham411, I just purchased a 4 stage RO/DI unit from Water Purification Systems based out in Florida. However, I can't tell you how good the unit works just yet due to water pressure issue within my apartment. I have to give them a call today to place an order for a Water Pressure Booster Pump. wow thanks for the response, the reason im looking into a rodi unit is because i noticed a little hair algae bloom in my sump. my phospate readings are close to undetectible but i figure if there is hair algae growing, there must be some present. haha heres a weird thought, howz about i use my hair algae as my macro algae.

I found this company on e-bay http://stores.ebay.com/Filter-Direct-store

I bought the 110GPD with an extra DI filter and tank item number 7757484518

Came with grate instructions and an 800 number all for under 120.00
