Kalk & vinegar question

For those of you who use vinegar to dissolve the Kalk mix before adding to water (not tank water), do you still have to wait several hours to add to a dripper system. With my non-vinegar method, I have to wait several hours for it to dissolve, then I use the clear middle water. I was able to find info about how much vinegar to add etc, however, I couldn't find how long to wait before adding the solution to my dripper. Thanks in advance.

You will still need to wait for the impurities to settle to the bottomm unfortunately.

Hello surplusrifleguy and :welcome: to TR.

I mix my kalk with vinegar and start dripping it as soon as I add the water. Sometimes there is a bit of sediment but never much. I pretty much follow the directions here kalkwasser (http://www.reefscapes.net/articles/breefcase/kalkwasser.html) and have never had any issues.
